a great thank you to Rock The Tend for featuring D&G Spring Summer 2010 on her fashion blog.
So this is what i feel about the collection a very well done to the dynamic duo of D&G
i can so feel it coming for the upcoming issue of fashion magzines when are they bringing out SS2010 collection in their magzines DENIM IS BACK YET AGAIN..
but what i truly like about this collection is bringing what a staple wear to a high new level
a a bustier denim dress and fusing their collection of using denim to the whole era in the 18th century
crossing the 18th century era of fashion lets just say corsets and lace with denim and u can wear it when u go to the outbacks... to the forest or a safari in the summer..
well its hard for me to describe all i can say is just take a peek at the runway show courtesy of Rock The Trend for posting it ther and see if u can feel what i feel..

influenza A virus H1N1

Singapore has confirmed another 26 new cases (169th to 194th cases) of Influenza A (H1N1-2009), comprising 10 local cases and 16 cases with travel history. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Singapore to 194.

2 The Pandemic Preparedness Clinics (PPC) are gearing up to help manage and treat suspect Influenza A (H1N1-2009) patients. Supplies of Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs) and Tamiflu have been dispatched to these clinics. These clinics can be recognized by the “H1N1-ready” decal. The PPCs are located island-wide to ensure that Singaporeans have easy access to medical assessment and prompt treatment for influenza-like illness. The public can go to HPB website (www.street-directory.com/hpb.ppc/) or MOH website (www.moh.gov.sg) to locate the nearest PPC to them.

3 When the network of PPC clinics is activated, members of the public who develop flu-like symptoms or influenza-like illness (e.g. fever, cough, sore-throat, runny nose) will be advised to go to the nearest PPC or polyclinic for initial assessment and treatment. Depending on the severity of their illness and other risk factors, they may be referred to the hospital for further management. However, people who are pregnant, on active cancer treatment or on kidney dialysis, are advised to contact their regular specialist(s) should they develop flu-like symptoms as the illness may complicate their underlying conditions.

well on a personal note i think that we do not have to worry abt the current situation as i have total faith that the government have a plan to resolve this matter and all we as a good citizen have to do is to follow and abide by the rules that is being passed down so that this situation can be manage and no or less life have to be lost.

we have to be socially responsible, stay at home if you are feeling unwell if u have signs and symptoms that i have caught the H1N1 virus seek medical attention immediately!!!

and some tips to keep u away from the virus

1. wash your hands regularly especially before and after food, before and after your daily exercise

2. avoid crowded places if you are really scare catching the virus

3. do not travel out of Singapore unnecessarily

well besides that we can continue or daily routine life as per normal but with extra caution and we should not be complacent even though we know that our government and our health care workers are doing their very best to control the situation we must do our part as well

just like the dengue fever campaign.

i was reading the June issue of GQ British magazine and i came across an article on a wonderful designer Matthew Williamson whom i heard appearred on his very own ad campaign wearing what he design. thats really fabulous u hardly come across designers who appears in their ad campaigns wearing what they have design. he is a man of his word when he mentioned that

"... the collection is really based on what i would wear ..." and when i saw the ad i was really thrown over by his designs it really look gd on him and i want every piece of his collection if i can get my hands on it.. visit H&M and view his collection and you will know why..

Louis Vuitton

well well it looks like LV have manage to make their way to Hong Kong. educating the people there all abt the values, their creation and of course sharing with the public their vast collection.

Louis Vuitton is a fashion house which have beautifully grown . its collaboration with the art for the past 150 years have made a really great label. i believe by infusing art knowledge and appreciating it one can strecth their creativity to come out with designs that is splendid and of course exclusive to Louis Vuitton worshippers. Luxury came to a whole new level with LV with its extensive collaboration with artist and renown designers.

now LV is having an exhibition in Hong Kong Museum of Arts showing their vast collection entittled Louis Vuitton:A Passion for Creation. to all those who are heading to hong kong do drop by to the museum from 22nd May 2009 to Augugst 2009.

it is sad that i cant travel to Hong Kong to catch the exhibithion due to commitments but yeah hopefully they will come to Singapore just like Christian Lacroix did!!

taking the big step

hello there...
after much thinking and pondering and thinking i have decided to establish this blog to keep in track the latest buzz in the fashion industry and also to try and make out something out of my ever growing passion for fashion.
i urge all those who mangage to chance upon the blog to give encouragement, word of advice and teach a trick or two in the fashion industry
since i am still serving my NS i can only try and gives and receive updates and blog everyweekend if i am free of course but i will try my very best to commit myself to this blog of mine every week to try and show and write abt fashion and healthcare. yeah 2 different industry that i got myself into both i m equally passionate about . once i am done with NS i will be pursuing my studies in NUS studying Nursing yeah thats right Nursing!! i love both Nursing and Fashion at the same time. thus this blog was born today on the 17 of May a mth after my birthday due to these 2 interest. if u readers are still a bit slow the name of the blog is the cross or nursing and fashion hence NUFASH!!
